On Feb. 5, Genevieve Giuliano of the USC School of Policy, Planning, and Development and Mark Bernstein of USC College, the managing director of the USC Energy Institute, met separately with staff members from the House Science Committee.
Giuliano talked about the University Transportation Centers program, which is funded through the research title of the highway transportation authorization that is scheduled to end in October.
“House committee staff wanted to discuss the performance and merits of the university research program and how it might be improved,” she said.
Bernstein, who is involved with climate change research, met with staffers as part of USC’s ongoing relationship-building with members of Congress
